Some of our past Events

THANK YOU to BLO hair salon in Brier Creek for raising more than $10,000 for TFS during their 2008 Snip Snip Give Cut-a-thon! And thanks to all our friends who participated in this year's event, helping TFS to help families in crisis! We appreciate your support.

BLO is in Brier Creek Commons at 8415 Brier Creek Parkway.

BLO is a uniquely urban salon community where egos are passé and replaced with just A Lot of Hot Hair. Launched by husband and wife team Bryan and Silvia Nunes, BLO has a unique metropolitan appeal without the pretension typically associated with upscale salons. The salon is home to designers with unique appreciation for a team environment and a creative styling gallery for hair color artistry that promotes community among guests and the design team.

The entire BLO staff regularly attends the Redken Exchange, the industry’s most advanced training center in New York City. This dedication has been rewarded as BLO was recently named Top 20 “Salon of the Year” nationally by Salon Today magazine and 2007 SALON TODAY 200 for being among the nation’s fastest-growing.

For more information about BLO, visit www.justblo.com. And a special thank you to BLO owners, Silvia and Bryan Nunes.

5th Annual Gingerbread House Gala and Auction - a huge success!

Thanks to our wonderful supporters and event attendees, the 5th Annual Gingerbread House Gala and Auction was a huge success raising more than $75,000 to support Triangle Family Services’ programs for low-income children and families.

Gala guests enjoyed a festive start to the holiday season while dining on food prepared by Sisters Catering.  The evening included the live auction of a John Deere lawn tractor and four amazing gingerbread houses, and a special appearance by the Carolina Ballet’s “gingerbread dancers” from the Nutcracker.  In addition, guests bid on an additional seventeen designer gingerbread houses and a variety of silent auction items.
